Amante is a cliff-edge balancing act, drenched in sunlight by day and moonlight by night, it’s a bloody romantic spot. Perched precariously in the cove of Sol Den Serra and almost entirely engulfed by dramatic rocks and flourishing greenery this rustically renovated restaurant will capture even the coldest of hearts. Even BarChick gets a little poetic just thinkin about the place. Damn.
The opening and closing parties here are not to be missed. Amante is built like a towering tree house, three open-air floors are stacked ominously on top of each other, which makes for a fantastic party venue. Unsurprisingly this place is also a favourite for those wishing to pop the question, with scenery as beautiful as this it’s unlikely she/he will be able to say no, so go for it.
Amante is a restaurant but you’re welcome to do like BarChick and ball straight up to the bar, thank god. We’ll finish with two words of warning, firstly the mosquitos here are nuclear infused and huge - wear repellent or perish. Secondly, there is complimentary bread and aioli everywhere you look which is almost impossible to resist after one cocktail, wholly impossibly after two and after three forget it, your carb free bikini diet is over and you will STINK.
