Although these are 2 separate bars, they get so busy that they seem to come one. The Rock Bar is the ultimate place to warm up for the long night/days that await you. Look for the red neon sign, and listen out for a distinctive lack of rock music, and you have arrived. Mix it up and flit between the two but be sure to pee in the Rock Bar, especially if you are in heels.
Located at the hub of the port’s main drag and adjacent to Base bar, it’s one of the largest (not to mention busiest) bars in the area. Make sure you get in early to bag a good seat out on the terrace and check out the pre-club clubbers parading themselves between the 2 bars. The Rock Bar is an Ibizan institution and one where you’re most likely to mix with the in-crowd. Few bother to hang out in the cramped interior, which is a shame because the bar attracts the cream of the DJs before they hit the club decks later on.
Dip into Base Bar, grab a cerveza and find Jason, he rarely fails to entertain!
