“The Hope” is where the rock stars stay when they’re in town, so obviously it's where BarChick stays, too when she's in town. This award-winning boutique hotel located within the city’s cultural quarter is the perfect place in which to chill, drink, sleep and watch the glamorous things of Liverpool stroll by. The tidy redbrick interior, high ceilings and exposed beams are what make this place so impressive.

Bar, restaurant and lounge area spread over one large, open-plan space separated by giant glass sculptures. The food here is fantastic, chef Mike Kenyon favours authentic, homely cooking over gimmicky gourmet portions and our tums are grateful for it.

Kicking back here is as blissful in the morning as it is in the afternoon, and BarChick got bang into scouse-style camomile tea (with milk and honey!).
