Find the awning over the door that proudly states Jenny's Seafood Restaurant and you've arrived. Despite the claim, you won't find any lobsters in this basement bar, but you will find some beautiful and carefully crafted drinks and a very smart bar. BarChick couldn't decide if apothecary or speakeasy best suited the place, but who cares because she loved it either way.

The bar emits a beautiful glow with its pretty ball like lamps and the intriguing bottles draw you into the Surgery (so reads the sign). Sit at the bar and let the barman charm you with his cocktail skills. In the mood for something sweet? BarChick enjoyed a Grasshopper which tasted exactly like a mint Areo and came with a dusted chocolate 'J' on top (perfect for wooing your date if their name's Jane, James, etc), BarChick's date had a Treacle – a twist on an Old Fashioned and it kept him pretty happy.

Head through the velvet curtain and you'll find a line of pretty rose coloured sofas and tables down one side, and green leather banquettes opposite. Perfect for those Scouser chicks who need to rest their 6" clad feet. Sure Jenny's might be slightly off the beaten cocktail track but it's worth its weight in gold, oh and half way down the stars there's The Whisky Business – a peach of a booze shop and the best bit is they'll keep your bottle under lock and key for your next visit.
