In fact, Le Cordon Bleu culinary institution is basically the Harvard of cookery schools. Forget having to hop on the Eurostar to get your fix though - the first LCB restaurant has landed in London. Ooh la la.
During the day the swanky dining room is buzzing with slick city types spanking the company credit card and ladies that lunch on dishes as perfectly executed as their manicures. In the evening it’s a more sedate affair, bringing a chance to try quality food from master chefs at the top of their game. Pristine white tablecloths, royal-blue velvet chairs, sexy lighting: Cord has the lot. The menu is a dazzling affair of froths, syrups, glazes and jus, and the wine list is enough to make you throw caution to the wind and spend next month's rent. Never fear though, 'cos Cord also does an awesome three-course meal that comes with a glass of Champagne. Ballin' on a budget was never so tasty.
