Slick new members bar, Martinez, will be opening the doors to its airy, first-floor loft-style space this August. This is old school glamour, Soho style. Think mid-century furnishings and Art Deco nods, as well as a sleek, bottle-green tiled bar that takes focus in the centre of the room.
This is a members bar, and the perks for those who have plucked for the £300 membership are pretty sweet. Each member will receive a one-on-one drinks orientation with the bar team where you'll get to chat about your penchants and preferences with the knowledgable crew, meaning that your membership experience is basically tailored to you.
When it comes to the important stuff (that's drinks and food, y'all) there's a kick-ass bar menu offering of snacks and small plates from esteemed, Michelin-starred Chef Hervé Deville, which is all expertly paired with the cocktail selection. Of course, you can't name a bar after a cocktail and not have it on the menu. This bitter, cherry adorned precurser to the Martini will be served in its original form, but this is 2021 and it wouldn't be a London bar without a bit of creative license (especially with industry ledge Dré Masso behind the menu) so expect a few modernisations in the two additional Martinez on the menu, as well as a host of other classic and vintage cocktails from the golden era of mixology.
