Bar Crispin

Cafe by day, wine bar by night.

This 42-cover spot at the top of Soho has opened its doors to take ya from your breakfast of expertly blended speciality coffees and buttery baked goods, through to your much needed after-work bottle of vino and a slick dinner of small plates, charcuterie boards and weekly house specials. HELLO.

Natural wine lovers: Bar Crispin's 150-strong wine list is for you. It's a kick-ass list curated by the venue GM and in-house sommelier Alex Price alongside Crispin’s head somm Stefano Cazzato (who used to pop bottles at Londrino and Hakkasan). They've focussed on Old World and indigenous grapes, as well as small indie producers, which is how they do it at their sister site in Spitalfields. If you love wine tastings and clever food pairings, you'll wanna join Alex for his monthly events in the elegant Green Room downstairs.

To go with the wines, there's a buff menu of dishes that pair epically with a chilled glass of white on the 10-seater dining terrace. Native oysters with shallots slide back nicely while the glazed pork belly brings a bit of indulgence to the table. Like the idea of a slice of Pig's head, or maybe a bowl of black garlic ice cream? Maybe not, but we bet it tastes epic as it's being cooked up by head chef Brendan Lee who has a background in running Michelin-starred restaurants in the US, so you should def give it a go.
