Press For Champagne. Gets us every time.
Before any T, D & H was asking you to push a button to order drinks, there was Bob Bob Ricard. This is the first place BarChick was presented with the chance to press for fizz, and boy, did we make the most of it. The Russian/French swank-pad has gone down in legend, so no surprise they decided to recreate some of the magic in the financially-flush Square Mile.
Bob Bob Cité is like the original, only turbo-charged. A luxed-up, pimped-out train carriage, somehow this restaurant/bar hybrid manages to look futuristic and Art Deco. It's the perfect place for a date, you'll spend the first half-hour admiring how straight-up glam it all is just in case the chat's dry. If you need liquid to loosen you up however be warned: you'll accidentally drop some serious dough here.
Up for it? Good. Start with caviar and iced vodka shots, because bling doesn't get any better. When you're tired of pushing for Champagne (oh the strain) then hit the wine list. Montrachet with your Grilled Lobster Thermidor? Yup. Or you can get in wines by the glass from around 6 quid, bargain. To finish? Vodka Martinis, obviously.
