When are cocktails most enjoyable? When they're drunk below a f*cking huge crystal Pegasus protruding from the wall. Fact.

Welcome to Brasserie of Light, the frankly stunning restaurant inside Selfridges, and that sculpture was designed by Damien Hirst. You think the people on the shop floor are dropping serious cash, we don’t even want to guess what was spent on the interiors here. Whatever, it’s worth every penny. Your Instagram is about to go into meltdown. 

Sit in the sun-drenched restaurant or take a seat at the bar. This is where you’ll find us, reflected in the gleam of what feels like 1000 mirrors. There's gold leaf, those cute little Art-Deco lamps, and what look like mini disco balls hanging from the ceiling. It would all feel a little extra if it wasn't so damn fabulous. 

The cocktails are all mega creative with some unusual ingredients causing a stir. There's a section dedicated to Sparkling Cocktails  - if you were gonna indulge in bubbles anywhere, it has to be here. They've also got an insane list of sparkling wines, no surprise. Bar snacks consist of the likes of wild mushroom and truffle rice balls and raw tuna tacos. More substantial offerings include popcorn shrimp, chicken dumplings and a mega hamburger for when it has to be meat. We say, save your pennies and spend them on another cocktail. Of the fizzing kind, naturally.
