There’s a Mexican wave happening in London and we’ve got our hands UP. Tacos, tlayudas and tequila; it’s a recipe for one hell of a good time.

The first thing you’ve gotta know about Breddos is that these guys won Taco Wars 2014. Fierce. Having been dishing ‘em up street-side for years they settled into their first permanent spot in Clerkenwell a few years back and it’s epic. The kind of place you can stop by for a lunchtime taco or stay all night eating small plates, sipping Margaritas and top-shelf mezcals, picking vinyl to spin, kicking back. Our kinda vibe. 

You’re here for the food and you won’t be disappointed, the Carne Asada's the best BarChick’s snacked on since being streetside in the Yucatan. Baja fish tacos, zesty ceviche, sashimi-topped tostadas and fresh-as-hell guacamole. It's all insane so go with a crew or hot date and get ordering most of the menu.

When it comes to washing it down mezcal is the name of the game. Not tried it? This is the place to lose your virginity. Ease in gently with a smooth fruity number or if you’re a pro hit the smokey over-proof top shelf. The selection up here was smuggled in plastic bottles from Mexico as you can’t get hold of them here. They've been collected by hand from little distilleries all over Mexico and each has a story that the guys are more than happy to tell. This is the real deal and you’ll leave full of sunshine.
