These guys have now cast their lobster pot over Knightsbridge, and it’s quite the catch. Up on the 5th Floor of Harvey Nichols, weave through the expensive food market towards the lights of Burger and Lobster. Hang a right if you want to meet your dinner as they happily chill in tanks, or head straight on for the bar, it’s heavy on the whisky.
The fifth offering, like its siblings has been decked out like a New York loft space, with hanging bulbs, splashes of copper work, exposed brick and red leather banquettes and Lobster pots. You can’t book, but they will give you a handy buzzer which, as you shop, will alert you of your table.
It’s the usual procedure: burger, lobster (grilled or steamed) or a lobster roll, with the addition of the California Burger which has had its brioche buns swapped for lettuce – carb friendly for this neighbourhood. Wash it down with the B&L Gin Fizz with gin, orange, cream, egg white, rhubarb and soda and the Strathisla Calm which was loaded with whisky, camomile, cinnamon, pear and lemon, both were divine. If you want wine then there’s six of each stacked neatly along a wall, this isn’t for show, it’s actually their cellar, space is money.
