It's no secret BarChick is mezcal's numero uno fan. So any bar that dedicates itself to the stuff is alright by us. Especially one that's pinker than a blushing flamingo at a Pride parade. Expect the vibrancy of Mexico and the sexiness of a 1920s Harlem jazz club, in a scarlet basement bar in Stokey. Plush velvet banquet-style seating, low lighting and candles complete the seriously sassy effect. It's a vibe we are here for.
The pop-up is headed up by Lucie Massey (the brains behind Cuppa Gumbo & Slap Ya Papa) and agave enthusiast Thea Cumming. This babe is the founder of Dangerous Don, a wicked mezcal which mixes two of Mexico's most beloved treasures (and BarChick's fave things): mezcal & coffee. Boom. Expect plenty of this stuff on the back bar and in the banging cocktail menu. The Fiorella is made with Dangerous Don Mezcal, Virtuous Ginger, Supasawa, agave, lime wheel and coffee beans. We'll take three. And to accompany the cocktails, there's wicked live music every night, with a spotlight on female performers. YES GIRL.
