After building their name with places like The Folly, The Anthologist, and The Drift, it’s about time Drake & Morgan set up a signature (and sexier) shop. Kings Cross has had a makeover and this two-story masterpiece fits right in. Most of their bars are bright and airy, but they’ve gone for a more sultry feel here with two art deco inspired floors that are about dark walls and gold features. Serving epic seasonal eats all day, this place has lunch date all over it, but they’re open for dinners and bottomless weekend brunches too so if the queue at Caravan’s too big you know where to come.

More in the mood for a liquid lunch? The bar’s got you covered with signature cocktails that are sometimes weird and always pretty. No matter what you’re after, the friendly staff are incredibly efficient and always on your side. It’s big enough to not get too rammed - yet - but you’ll be in good company. With all the offices springing up around Kings Cross expect an after-work media crowd and you’ll be sure to hear ticks for designing that perfect marketing platform. Best thing about his place? It’s got a year round terrace (with heaters and blankets!) so smokers settle in.
