Fitz's Bar

1920s jazz meets tropical disco in the Kimpton Fitzroy hotel

Thought you were over the whole Gatsby-style Prohibition bar thing? Well, time to slide back under it. As we soak in the new era of '20s glam, this drinking den in the Kimpton Fitzroy hotel is here to show you that the jazz age never goes out of fashion, old sport.

Complete with a f*ck-off massive glistening disco ball dangling from the ceiling and more plumage than a hen do on a night out in Liverpool, Fitz's is a bar that takes the glam of the '20s and makes it disco. It's retro and contemporary all at the same time: we're talking Twiglets served as bar snacks and cocktails shaken up to a soundtrack of up-tempo funk and mellow jazz by a crew that hail from the likes of Callooh Callay and Milk & Honey. Slide into one of the velveteen scalloped armchairs and order a Champagne Cocktail or something from the bar's wicked Theory of Colour menu to get you in the mood. This place is open til late, so get comfy and indulge in a few more rounds - you won't want to miss the DJ who looks the spit of George Michael when he rocks up later in the evening.
