The highest you can get in London is Gŏng, all the way up on the 52nd floor of The Shard. First things first - the view is killer. Floor to ceiling glass gives you an unbeatable view the whole way across London. Take a peek, drink it in and, like most people who come here, get the iPhone out. It’s selfie central in here. Inside it’s all sleek, Asian-inspired vibes, but what else would you expect at The Shangri La? There are intimate tables, sofas and a swanky bar to perch up at; it’s all very luxurious and screams date night.

On to the drinks - these bad boys are something. Their menu ‘A Miscellany of Inventions’ explores ingenious inventions and incredible innovations, so prepare to be impressed. Try Director’s Cut, a cinematic beauty inspired by the invention of film. Popcorn cooked with butter and salt is soaked in a bath of Don Julio Blanco Tequila in the fittingly named fat wash. This epic liquor is then extracted and mixed with elderflower and fresh lime. TBH, you had us at popcorn soaked tequila, but the whole shebang is so slick, BarChick would happily check out the sequel.

All in all, this is one hella sexy bar and is the perfect spot for a saucy date or any celebration when you wanna be a bit extra. You might leave dizzy and bankrupt, but it’ll be worth it.
