If hotels were rock stars The Ham Yard Hotel Bar would be headlining Glastonbury. It's cool, has plenty of character and will more than entertain you - in the basement there's the coolest bowling alley slash bar room BarChick has ever clapped her gold patent Slazenger bowling shoes on (private hire only so be prepared to spank the Amex).

Upstairs is a whirl wind of patterns, textures and colours. From Aztec screens, to bright silk walls and quirky decorations.The bar is beautiful so don't worry about sitting anywhere else (unless it's the indoor terrace, the outside one if the sun's shining or the downstairs bar if you're lucky enough to have put your carry case in one of the beautiful rooms).

After a mind boggling tour of the cinema (it screams Premiers), the spa and the bowling alley, BarChick got stuck into the cocktails. Kicking off with a Berry Smash, which ticked the five a day and luckily not the smashed box quite nicely, the house G and T is made with Portobello Road and a slice of Grapefruit and should not be missed. Take a date and settle in for food too, if its anything like the rest of this place, you'll be in for a treat.
