Make your merry way the mezzanine of the Henrietta Hotel, and you'll be transported into what is most definitely the city's most over-the-top holiday pop-up. Miracle - the pop-up series that started in NYC and now has bars around the world - is back in Covent Garden for another year, and it's outrageous as ever. The hotel's mezzanine has been transformed into a seriously groovy '70s living room bar decked out with Christmas swag: retro light-up Santa heads, glittering streamers, twinkling fairy lights, a massive fireplace and garland galore. No Grinches allowed!
The cocktails here are obvs as festive as it gets, with a menu full of Christmas-themed riffs on the classics. Get involved with the Christmapolitan, a Carrie Bradshaw-approved mix of Wheatley Vodka, elderflower, Carpano Dry Vermouth, spiced cranberry sauce, lime, rosemary and absinthe mist, or go all out with the Jingle Balls Nog, a mix of Seignette VS Cognac, cream sherry, almond milk, cream, egg, vanilla and nutmeg. Feelin' really naughty? They've also got a couple of festive shots to raise your spirits.
There's just one hitch to this sleigh ride: getting a booking is about as rare as scrolling through Insta this time of year without seeing a Spotify Wrapped. If you fancy some solo Christmas cheer you'll def have some luck, but if you're rollin' with a crew, keep your eye on the bookings page for last-minute openings - after all, miracles do happen.
