Kasa and Kin

Kasa and Kin

BARCHICK SAYS

Mi kasa es su kasa at this kickass Filipino eatery

First up, a little Filipino lesson: "kasa" means "home" and "kin" means "family". Second lesson: Filipino food is absolutely epic. Class dismissed. It’s time to get your party pants on and head to Soho, where you'll find this banging Filipino restaurant and bar that's bringing the flavours of South East Asia to London. What's more, you can pretty much get a taste of the magic at any time of day. In the morning, Kasa and Kin is a bakery serving specialities such as warm ensaymada pastries. At lunchtime, treat yourself to a grab-and-go lunchbox, or swing by in the evening for cocktails and creative dishes.

Specialities include BBQ meat platters (lemongrass chicken inasal and beef ribeye tapa are a dream) or get fresh with jackfruit and avocado spring rolls. The crispy pork belly main course will rock your world, or go veggie with smoked aubergine. All this is obvs best washed down with a cocktail or three - Tita's Margarita also includes papaya puree, or ramp up the holiday vibes with a Guava Colada. Fresh, funky, exotic and exciting - this is one visit your tastebuds won't let you forget.
