For those of you that hang in these ends of the hood, you will have known and loved The Regent, which is where The Parlour is now in residence. So it has great heritage/feng shui, but whatever it has, it's gonna have to try pretty hard to mess this space up.

It's still got some pub features, only it's been tidied up a bit. White tiles around the room, a beautiful blue bar and a new tree out back in the garden. Not only does the food rock, but they keep cooking till midnight, HELLO Parlour! Finally London is getting better at the late night thing and with places like this breaking curfews, you no longer have to get your kebab on (although there is a time and place for that).

What's cookin'? Well it’s the boys from the Mall Tavern in the kitchen so you're in some pretty meaty hands. The cow pie, is MASSIVE and it rocks, especially with a side of SM-ASH (smoked mash). Just snackin'? Well then have the popcorn chicken nuggets, or a pate platter. De-lish.

Drink homemade 5Alive and tequila in the Vicky & Bert's Wedding Punch, check out the homemade cordials and don't miss the wines on tap. If you're into cocktails, try the Not-in-hill made with vanilla vodka, lavender syrup, lemon juice, egg white – tastes like a silky lemon meringue pie – very popular with the ladies!
