If you find yourself strung out on The Strand then this zen hangout is just your place, it’s all dark and sexy, Japanese style. It's big, with 160 covers over one floor; with a bar, and a restaurant, divided by their signature Robata Bar (fireside cooking bro). Sit at the bar if like to watch bartenders do their thing, or get a table, either way kick things off with a Highball, it's what the Japanese start with and it's simply some really good Japanese whisky, soda and ice.
Move onto the cocktails and thank god you’re not queuing for the bus outside. The Fig Manhattan (Bulleit Rye, fig liqueur, sweet vermouth and cherry bitters), is one of their signature serves and so damn good that BarChick had three. Finish up with some shochu, they make it in house and it's delicious. The food is so good, you better turn your drinks into a dinner date. Sushi comes served on ice and the chocolate fondue explodes with green tea when you cut into it. True story.
