BARCHICK SAYS

Slip downstairs through the discreet stage door entrance, and the 1920s vibe of this prohibition-style hangout (it’s been around since then) will make you wish you’d brought a trilby. There are books on shelves, a vintage cigarette dispenser and a battered old piano that doubles up as a bar top, all swimming in a cosy low-lit red glow. It’s hard not to feel cool in here... and the guy busting a three-piece suit and mutton chops showed BarChick just how it to do it!

The bar looks great... but BarChick isn’t here for the view. The cocktail list has got everything from exciting new mixes (Cardamom and Pineapple Daiquiri – check), twists on classics, prohibition-style teapots to share and the Man Up (whiskey meets bacon and maple syrup). The Bass Guitar, with Jack Daniels and loads of blackberries, and the Honey Bear (tastes like it sounds, with a hint of peaches) are all banging!... work your way through the list – you've got till 3am.

Once the music gets going, you might feel like you're at one of BarChick's house parties more than a bar. The music is random, the atmosphere is super friendly and EVERYONE dances, so pack your dance moves... and get stuck in. There are some HOT girls (and guys) down here...

Yeah, it's a private members bar (non-members are charged £10 entry on Fridays and Saturdays) but everyone is welcoming and the staff are wicked. Just don’t plan anything big for the next day.
