They don’t call this place The Coral Room for nothin’ - it’s coral pink EVERYWHERE so you feel a bit like you’re in a Wez Anderson film. It's ace. It’s hard to believe the space used to be your bog standard hotel lobby. ‘Cos now that the Grade II listed, high ceilinged mega palace has had a make over by interiors wizard Martin Brudnizki, it’s all chandeliers, awesome artwork and mermaid vibe shell-like pastel velvet couches. The Coral Room is possibly the most beautiful bar BarChick’s stepped into this year, it’s gold dust for your Insta feed.
If your luck's in then you might just get a couch by the huge windows; these are the best seats in the house so slide down the velvet and get comfy ‘cos it’s time for a drink. English sparkling wines are what these guys champion, they’ve got over 30 on the list from all over the UK and sell them by the glass so you’ve an excuse to drink in the name of patriotism. The cocktail list is a crowd pleaser too with Gin Lane (gin, rose syrup, elderflower - you know the drill) and other fresh, summery drinks. Hungry? Load up on fancy small plates, or keep it real with cheese toasties. Hot dates, drinks with your girl gang, Mumma in town, everyone will love it here.
Plus with Dalloway Terrace just outside, a late-night den of debauchery downstairs and hotel rooms above, you might not ever need to leave.
