This place is the stuff of legends.  Weird and wonderful Lewis Carol legends. Hidden inside the bar that’s hidden inside the wardrobe inside Callooh Callay (got that, yeah?) Jubjub is the member's bar you want a key to at 1am on a Friday in Shoreditch. Or anytime, as we all need an escape from Shoreditch sometimes.  

How do you get in? Well you’ve gotta be a member. But this isn’t the kind of member’s bar you’ve got to be fondling with a founder to get into.  Think of Jubjub as the ‘non-members members bar’ so all are welcome. Sign up on their website and boom - you’ve got the key, you’ve got the secret.

This has always been a bit of a drinks industry hangout so you know the drinks are up there with the best.  The bartenders use Jubjub as a bit of an experimental playground, creating drinks up here and testing them out before the hit the big dog menu downstairs. BarChick tested the puntastic Tan Reviver, an Irish whisky twist on a Pina Colada and a Paloma with a POP aka. their Champagne Paloma. Top marks. 

The drinks might mean business but nothing about this place is serious. Kick back on 50’s rockabilly chairs (in pink, naturally), hang out with the bartenders,  drink your date under the table, just don’t leave without taking a photo of the neon sign on the way out.
