We're donning our dopest tartan and shimmying off to Rosewood London to take advantage of the return of their whisky-soaked winter pop-up, The Macallan Manor House. It may *technically* be outside, but this place is fully heated and covered, and even if the chill starts to creep in, these guys have a few warming solutions up their sleeves. Thank the laird.
Created in collaboration with (you guessed it) The Macallan whisky - the space has taken inspo from the rolling Scottish hills of The Macallan Estate. Get ready to pass through the grove of autumnal trees rich with copper tones as you step inside. They've gone ham on the natural foliage and textures for an authentic retreat of Scottish highland hues, coppers, driftwood, and deep red tones. The walls are adorned with detailed maps of Speyside (where you'll find the infamous Macallan distillery, FYI) and the copper hanging lights are a nod to the stills used in the whiskey-making process. It's all in the details, right?
Once you're at your seat (decorated with woven blankets for you to get cosy with - we told ya the cold wouldn't get ya) it's time to turn up the heat even more with the unique and interactive tableside Hot Toddy experience that'll have you curating your perfect winter warmer with a selection of The Macallans finest drams. Choose your whisky (BarChick went for the 12yo Sherry Oak cask for a richer Toddy, complete with notes of warm spices and rich dried fruits) and then pick the spices you want to instil into it at the table (they even provide you with a timer to get the perfect infusion) to pimp your perfect Toddy. Auch aye!
The Macallan Manor House will be open until February 2022.
