Can we go to Scotland? Can we not? Will anything be open if we do go?! Your guess is as good as ours tbh. Which is why we're all up for enjoying a taste of the Highlands while still following the rules & restrictions that seem to be rolled out on the regular right now. With this in mind, we're donning our dopest tartan and shimmying off to The Rosewood to take advantage of their new winter popup, The Macallan Manor House. And yes, its outdoor location means you can drink & dine with your fave five. Thank the laird.
Created in collaboration with - you guessed it, Macallan Whiskey - the space taking inspiration from the rolling Scottish hills and The Macallan Estate. We're talking blue heather and purple thistles, elegant pine trees, and walls adorned with detailed maps of Speyside, the location of the distillery. The copper hanging lights are a nod to the copper stills used in the whiskey-making process and they've even teamed up with fragrance-experts Olfacto to create bespoke scents for the entrance to the terrace, transporting guests to Speyside with notes of heather, earth and oakmoss. It's all in the details, right?
We'll be cracking on with The Macallan Old Fashioned - a mix of Old-Estate 48 Macallan Estate, Oloroso Sherry, chocolate, barley. Fee like indulging? There are two elusive pairings that match a banging dish with a single cask whisky limited to 465 bottles that's not widely available to consumers. With each pairing costing around £100, this is one for the gastronomes. We might crack on with the cocktails, thanks...
The Macallan Manor House will be open from 19th October for 6 months from 12pm – 10pm, Monday – Sunday
