BARCHICK SAYS

Another one in the Gordon Ramsay Empire, and it’s a pretty slick affair. Upstairs you’ll find tables and rows of content diners sitting amongst industrial styles, soaking up delicious food and slick service. But it’s the bar downstairs that really did it for us.

This is a cool drinking den, and effortlessly so. The look is raw; warehouse vibes are housed in a brick and metal backdrop, but it’s chilled and welcoming. Bring mates who appreciate good drinks and commandeer an area of leather sofas, you’re going to be here for the long haul. DJs take over on Friday nights, art work is there to be bought and the bar to be propped up if you wanna get geeky with the ever charming bartenders.

The drinks are the bartenders labour of love and they change weekly. Borough Market is the main source of ingredients, so expect wild fruits, seasonal picks and fresh as hell results. No need to pick wisely, they’ll all hit the spot. On our visit we drank the Vieux Carre' with Wild Turkey 101, Martel VSOP, a touch of Benedictine and bitters.
