Kings Cross has gone from pimps and train spotting to a pimped up tech company haven. Just next to the station is The Boulevard, a development that is like some kind of Westfield for foodies; Granger and co, German Gymnasium, all shiny and busy. No complaints from us.
Wine fans should head to Vinoteca, known for its awesome wines, wine shop, and food offering. Where better to fill up pre-train travel and take some for the road? The wine and beer to go from here will sh*t all over Marks and Spencer's tinnies offering and set the tone perfectly for any adventure.
Staying in? Sit at the bar and as you work through the cheese and cured meats, and let the pros match fine wines to each dish. Or get your wine geek on with the sommelier. You’ll find Barchick here tucking into the daily lunch menu, it’s a steal. Wash it down with something from the 'by the glass menu’ ‘cos there are plenty… but why have a glass when there are that many bottles to choose from? Train's run on the regular, right?
