Take an old leather shop, strip back the dodgy décor, throw in a couple of oysters, and Bob’s your uncle, you’ve got yourself one of Shoreditch’s latest hangouts. Refurbished back to its former glory, this place is guaranteed to be the pub of choice for every East ender looking for a boozer with a bit of an edge. Inside it’s super spacious and wooden with shiny brass piping, polished tiles and a huge central bar to perch at and eye up local hotties. They’ve got a fine selection of bottled beers that range from microbrewery to local lagers and ales along with draught and cask brews – just ask at the bar for some expert knowledge, oh and the ciders are awesome too.

The menu is what makes this place happen, oysters can be ordered with all the trimmings: half shell sushi, broiled with lemon and caper, BBQ style and Southern fried. What you definitely need to do is order them with a dark porter stout, it’s an age old tradition and will make you look like you know your sh*t. Not into your shellfish? There are sliders, sides of Louisiana hot wings and oxtail chilli cheese fries.
