Let us set the scene: The year is 1973. David Bowie retires his dramatic alter ego Ziggy Stardust with one final gig at the Hammersmith Odeon.  What follows is a party at the Café Royal with a guest list filled with a who's who of rock n roll icons; Mick Jagger, Lou Reed & Paul McCartney. It's a party so legendary there is now an epic bar open in its honour. Sounds like a BarChick kinda party.

Ziggy's is a hella chic drinking shrine to the late great Bowie, over 45 years on. We're super keen on the peach coloured walls which are lined with intimate portraits of the music idol throughout his insane career, and we can't get enough of the small details dotted around the place; the glitter covered glam-rock business card holder on the bar top is ace, and the image-heavy coffee table books are great for flicking through while you await your cocktails.  The playlist spans across Bowie's entire back-catalogue. If you're a mega-fan, you're probs gonna lose your sh*t at this place. 

The cocktail menu is a literal album of the biggest Ziggy Stardust hits. On the menu sleeve, there are eleven banging cocktails; a mix of reinvented serves and Bowie’s favoured tipples. Just like the man himself, each drink is stylish and hella glam. The smooth as hell Tiger on Vaseline is our jam; a decadent revamped twist on a Pina Colada with Cachaça, Tanka spiced rum, roasted pineapple juice and lime with a velvety coconut and white chocolate foam swirled thick on the top just waiting to give you a sexy af Tom Selleck style 'tash as you sip. The Femme Fatale comes with its own addition of stardust; with an absinthe rinse, this martini also has a Japanese twist with the addition of sake with vodka & Byrrh.
