Don't be fooled by the name - the closest thing you'll find to a gorilla in this spot will be one of the barmen that's forgotten to shave for his shift. What you will find is a tick-list of industrial chic touches - chrome tiled ceiling, wide hanging lambs, exposed industrial piping. You know the drill. Take over a side of the central wooden bar or get a table around the edge for some tasty food all made fresh in the kitchen. Burgers mix things up with Gochujang Chicken or Wild Rice and Pinto Bean patty, or just tuck into a Full English til 4pm. Nice. 

The street windows are perfect for people watching, especially when you've got yourself a drink in hand. The names of the cocktails are just as inventive as the drinks themselves. 'First, We Drank Manhattans' and 'New York, I Love You (But You're Making Me Sour)' both boast Buffalo Trace Bourbon, while 'Coffee & Cigarettes' mixes vanilla vodka with Kahlua, coffee tequila, espresso and sugar. Sexy. 

The fun doesn't stop there either - time to head upstairs to the gin parlour. With only artisan, small batch gins nestled behind the bar, there is plenty to see here; fat washed gin, buttered gin... the list goes on. Settle in and get your gin freak on. And whatever you do, stay for the music. There's a 750 (at a push) gig space out the back and they get all sorts of Manchester's finest in to entertain you.
