MOJO Manchester

BARCHICK SAYS

Mojo bars are legendary: it’s all red neon lights and sexy red leather booths up here, and it’s hot. With a massive back bar and a cool red Smeg fridge, this place has been serving cold beer and hard liquor since 1998 so you’re with the professionals in here. The walls are plastered in music memorabilia, and they're usually playing some kinda kick ass beats  – ‘music for the people’ – so it’s no coincidence that the likes of Elbow and the Foo Fighters have partied in the upstairs Rhum Room.

The cocktail list is big and good, but with Mal the owner behind the recipes and sometimes the bar itself, this is no surprise. BarChick loved the Paloma with tequila, fresh limes and grapefruit soda, and the Polish Martini with honey vodka and cloudy apple juice rocked.

If you want to take things up a level then hire out the Rhum Room upstairs on the weekend and you can party hard until 3am. So if you like music, drinking and wild times then they go hand in hand up here.
