Don’t be put off by the fact that Under New Management (formerly Corridor Bar) is down some back alley in the less wag-fuelled part of town. It’s worth the visit… think of it as being more secretive than dodgy. Opened in 2008 with an ambition to make the best drinks around, it seems owner Ian has fulfilled his ambition, winning ‘best bar’ in the Northern Awards in 2010.

It’s cool in here, all simplistic and square. It may seem a little small at first, but don’t be fooled, there's an even cooler back room for when it’s busy that can also be hired out so you can party properly, and in private.

This place is for those who are dedicated/committed drinkers, so try not to look like too much of a rookie as you will more than likely be in the company of Manchester’s finest bar owners/tenders. So whether your tipple be a signature, a classic or twisted… get stuck in and enjoy.
