Amor y Amargo (Love & Bitters) does exactly what it says on the tin. Brought to you by the people behind Cuban bar Cienfuegos next door, this small Italian bar is a love letter to the finest of tinctures. Originally a sandwich shop, they've kept the penny-tiled mosaics and shop frontage and we're all about it. With room for only 12 stools inside, it gets busier than Venice on Valentine’s Day, but don’t let that put you off.

Displaying an impressive selection of unfamiliar spirits from Italy and France, in addition to the more recognizable favorites, there’s something here for everyone. Push your way in to the bar and experiment: we drank an Eight Amaro Sazerac (a herbaceous twist on a classic made with their own bitters) and it was spicy and saucy. Just how we like it.
