This is the kinda bar bartenders go to unwind. It’s comfortably rustic, with bare bones, cement walls, wood beams and naked bulbs giving off a warm glow. The main focus is the bar, made from a reclaimed 19th Century butcher block, which feels like huddling around a fireplace in your living room, except with more booze. Cosy. Their drinks menu is small and to the point, but don’t let that fool you - these guys are pros. We like to perch on the school style stools, knock back a Poppa’s Pride, and people watch. The crowd is a super friendly mix of local regulars, dates, and industry kids, who all end up doing shots together. That’s our kinda party. They’ve got a small food menu which serves until 1am and is perfect for late night snacks, but it’s their brunch that really kills it. Grab a table in their back courtyard, and get a roasted pork sandwich in you.
