Brooklyn Bowl is something of an institution in Williamsburg. Smack bang next to the Brooklyn Brewery, their all-star roster of DJs, bands and singers has a mix of the best old and new acts on rotation. Start off by making a beeline for the retro diner-style booths and stuff your faces with sticky Jack Daniel’s ribs and mac & cheese. That’ll set you up nicely.

The lanes are pretty plush with a view of the stage. Last time we went Shaggy was headlining with a full live band, and it was a pretty surreal sight when we turned round from a strike (obviously) to see Mr Boombastic getting jiggy. Order in the pitchers of beer, handle your balls like a pro and get involved. It’s super fun for big groups of people and parties: beer, bowling and music in Brooklyn, you can’t go too wrong.
