Gramercy Tavern holds a special place in New Yorker's hearts and it gets BarChick's vote for one of the most romantic bars in the city (planning a date? Take note). It's a rustic and homey restaurant, with rooms filled with enormous vases of fresh flowers and waiters doting on linen-clothed tables. Its owner, Danny Meyer, created some of New York's finest restaurants (11 Madison Park, Union Square Café... and the best burger joint in town, Shake Shack!).

So you're in the safest of hands in here. Unless you're planning on proposing/being proposed to, grab a seat at the bar, it's a fancy affair with leather placemats and exquisite service. They do all the classic cocktails well and a blackboard menu of seasonal drinks. When BarChick was getting her swank on, it was all about the Blood Meridian - Mezcal, Cocchi Rosa, grapefruit-chilli shrub, hibiscus and lime. Fancy and a bit frisky, just like BarChick. Alternatively drink a bottle of boutique Champagne paired with appetizers from their seasonal dinner menu, for a match made in heaven.
