They’ve got bottles of whiskey here so good, you’ll want to lay down and cry when the glass is empty. That top shelf is enough to get our inner bourbon-swilling cowgirl in a tizz. There’s 400+ on offer with everything from classic American bourbons to rare Scottish malts.

It feels a bit like you’re inside a whiskey barrel too, with the wood interiors. The bar is made from a reclaimed Amish candy counter, though this kind of candy will get you plastered. The walls are decorated with photos of men on horseback and Edison light bulbs hang above: it feels like a saloon of old.

Perch at the bar and get knowledgeable about what they’re offering here (they’ll talk whiskey with you for as long as you want), including their range of grilled cheese sandwiches, which they’ll match to your drink. We went for the Salona (jalapeno jack, Texas Pete hot sauce, dried tomatoes and cilantro on sourdough) while sipping on their Elijah Craig, which they did the 2 year finish on - a sweet and deadly match.
