The Courtyard Gin Bar at The Feathers Hotel

The Courtyard Gin Bar at The Feathers Hotel

Found in the Cotswold town of Woodstock, this 17th Century country townhouse isn’t a party-hard location, but it makes for a pretty pit-stop or a great base for a dirty weekend away… Gin cocktails at brunch, that’s how we roll. When the weather’s good sit back in the hotel’s sun-trap courtyard, surrounded by clinging vines and flower buckets. If the sun ain’t shining cosy down in the bar by the wood-burning stove.

Meet the biggest gin joint in the world. Officially. The Courtyard Gin Bar at Woodstock’s Feathers Hotel was awarded the Guinness World Record for the 175 types of gin on offer. Surely there’s only one way to help them celebrate? Of course, anti-gin drinkers are catered for too, with cocktails, wine and beer.

There’s the old favourites (Hendrick’s, Gordon’s and Bombay Sapphire), new kids on the block (like Tarquin’s Cornish Gin) as well as a lot of foreign bottles on the shelves. Dated gins from the 50s and 60s are on offer by the bottle, but don’t order them unless you’re a total baller. Swing by for the Ultimate G&T made with vintage gin, the world’s most exotic tonic water and ice cubes frozen from local spring water.
