After opening its doors 5 years ago Havanna still pulls in the crowds which start dropping in as early as 17.10 for that first cheeky drink after work. Plenty of the punters are the always-thirsty-yachties who crew on the big boats in port and as we know start drinking as soon as the ‘sun’s over the yardarm’ which suits barchick just fine..

We love the cool and colourful decor with funky artwork and seats made out of vintage jeans but even better is that it’s the perfect spot for meeting people as most folks here are transient and the kind that’s always up for a chat. Lively groups of the fuelled but friendly sit/stand inside or spill out unto the pavement while tattooed Spanish bartender chicks bring round big trays of cocktails and cold 'cerveza’s'.

This bar gets its buzz on nice and early and keeps it’s upbeat vibe going till late, so if that quick beer on your way back from the beach ends up with you downing shots of tequila with the crew of a sail yacht till 3 in the morning, (while still dressed in a sarong with sand stuck between your toes), don’t say we didn’t warn ya!
