Couples necking on tables for two lit by candlelight, in an antique-style colonial building with white and lime green outer walls.
Sexy and sweet, this bar is about the romance. Previously known as Bar da Graca and happily sitting with the botanical gardens as a backdrop, the walls are covered in kitsch flowery wallpaper with Cristo Redentor statues and good-mood fairy lighting. The award winning food is a mix of the usual Brazilian appetizers, fresh salads and fish dishes. Try the shrimp bobo served in a pumpkin, it’s yum. For drinks go for the Caipis; BarChick went for sake and strawberry.
From Wednesday through to Saturday there is live music, which totally adds to the ambiance of this quiet street, and it’s also a prefect date place. Full of chic young Brazilian things and lovers gazing at Cristo on the mountain, this truly is an amazing spot.
