Samba, choro and bossa nova, that’s what Bip Bip is all about.
This tiny bar with a big personality is rammed every night with samba lovers from all over. The bar barely fits the musicians in let alone the punters, so most of the crowd hang on the street, quiet as mice (it’s in a residential area) clicking to the samba music, no clapping aloud - only clicking of fingers. You’re listening to some of the best samba musicians around.
Punters grab beers from the refrigerators themselves, but if you want something harder like a shot of cachaça you’ve gotta ask the barman, seems fair.
Photos of past and present Brazilian musicians cover the walls, while plastic tables and chairs get moved around to make room for the dancing feet. A good choice every night but be prepared to get wet if it rains.
