ThirstyBear Brewing Company

BARCHICK SAYS

Beer lovers, you my friends are welcome. Meet San Francisco’s first and only organic brewery. Named after a bear attack story (“Thirsty Bear Bites Man for Cold Beer” was the inspiring headline), this place may feel a little warehousey, but their selection of homemade brews will make you beg for more. Try the Golden Vanilla, infused with whole vanilla beans which create a light and very distinctive flavour. Want something with a bit more body? Go for the Meyer E.S.B., a nitrogen conditioned take on the English bitter, with caramel notes and fantastic mouth feel. Or, if you can’t decide on which brew to try, go for them all with a flight of everything they have on tap. If beer is not your thing, then no worries, they make a mean Sangria - with a touch of brandy mixed in for extra punch.

They have a massive upstairs, complete with darts and a pool table, which is great for large groups and they’ve also got a great Spanish tapas menu ready to stand up against all that hoppy beer goodness. They have a full dining room, but the best seat in the house is at the bar or the high tables just by it.

Oh and they have live Flamenco performances every Sunday, see you there.
