Caos is hard to miss as you sashay down the hip street of Rua Augusta, mainly because of the hordes of hot, young trendies who gather outside, to smoke and look slick. Caos by name and chaos by nature, this place is more cluttered than your old man’s garage. Walls are filled with antique artifacts, bikes are suspended from the ceiling, neon lights, toy planes, vintage clothes and an old 50s gasoline pump are amongst the items that caught BarChick’s attention. Everything’s for sale, you could buy it all and open your own junk shop if you fancied. They’ve managed to make room (god knows how) for a small seating area and a make shift dance floor, which is nifty because a potent mix of disco and 80s floor-fillers blare from the sound system, and you’re gonna need somewhere to swing those shapes.
Drink the Geisha (sake, green apple, soho lychee and green tea) or a Honey Jack on the rocks. Strangely they serve Guinness topped with espumante (Portuguese sparkling wine) but whatever you’re into, we won’t judge. Get lost in this dark haven for hours, two-stepping to flash dance and sipping on sake, yum.
