Old-school glamour, barrel-aged spirits and the world’s first in-hotel rick house make this bar a must-visit.
Dust off those glad-rags, because it’s time to get your swank on. Manhattan bar - located in the uber swish Regent Hotel - is all about the studded leather Chesterfields, sexy dark wood and seductively low lighting. Its position as No 3 in 2018’s World’s Best Bars list confirms its chic cocktail credentials.
You’ll find us perusing the cocktail list at the sleek marble bar. Expect to see creative and unusual ingredients, and plenty of barrel-aged spirits reigning supreme. There’s the world’s first in-hotel rick house, after all. Rested in custom oak barrels to develop flavour and character, you can’t go wrong with the Rusty Nail, using Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Drambuie. Past menus have found inspiration from Manhattan’s various neighbourhoods, so prepare for some New York nostalgia right here in Sing. When we were sinking the drinks, it was all about Harlem’s Gin & Juice. It comes with a tiny gold dog - as in Snoop Dogg. Damn.
Rolling with a crew and rolling in the cash? You can hire one of the three private rooms, nestled behind opulent purple velvet drapes. Don’t you dare leave without trying the gourmet bar bites. We’re talking smoked scallops, lobster tacos and something called a Knickerbocker Popsicle. As with everything Manhattan does, we’re 100% sold.
