Another stella venue from the Lo & Behold Group, the Black Swan is an exquisite European bistro/bar built within the old provincial bank of Singapore. The theme is 1930s Art Deco: think shiny fittings, marble bar top and high ceiling. You’ll feel like Daisy Buchanan from the Great Gatsby within minutes of settling in with an Escape to Amalfi (prosecco, vodka and lemon sorbet) in hand… at least we did.

About the drinks, well, you can bet top dollar they’ll be nothing short of outstanding. Czech export and past manager of The Zetter Townhouse, Kamil Foltan worked wonders with the team and menu here (before heading off to the Tippling Club). Head to the mezzanine, also known as The Powder Room, to find another intimate little cocktail lounge, making this place a two-for-one steal.
