On a multi-street intersection where there are several mega clubs, you’ll find the uber upscale restaurant called Sturehof (the smoked salmon is to die for). Make your way past the suits and designer dresses, and you’ll find a trail of skinny jeans, leather skirts, biker boots and Converse leading the way to the kind of hidden bar, Obaren, tucked away in the back. A tiny dark staircase leads up to the next level past a glowing sign that reads “Hipster Jesus Loved You Before You Were Cool,” and then suddenly you’re in another world.

A small stage is raised just opposite the bar where unknowns and famous acts play several times a week. A favorite spot for live recordings, don’t be too surprised to see a few cameras and microphones around. Then once the band is done, an all-out debauched disco takes over, with awesome DJs spinning most nights. Grab a beer and get involved on the d-floor where a mix of indie, pop, electro and rock & roll will keep you swaying until 2am every night.
