Ivy Pool Club Bar

BARCHICK SAYS

The one place that is on everyone's lips in Sydney is the Pool Club. Slip down a back alley off George Street, enter The Ivy's grand entrance hall and don't look back (in anger or otherwise). Take the lift to the 4th floor and arrive at your destination, which resembles a glossy beach bar in Ibiza.

This is where the IT crowd hangout, by day visualize lazy cabanas, chilled out music and if you fancy a cheeky dip then do as the swimming pool is full of glamazons (just lose the arm bands). At night the DJ cranks up the tunes with cocktails flowing by the dozen.

The bar staff are well educated (and HOT). We drank Coconut Batidos which were full of creamy goodness and the Pool Club’s twist on a Pina Colada. Both went down swimmingly.

Head here on Wednesdays for chilled drinks and dinner deals (pizza/salad or wine/beer combo for just $15), Fridays for city boys and Champagne, and Saturdays for pumping music as Pacha transforms The Ivy to Sydney's club destination and the Pool Club comes along for the ride.
