Minzar

BARCHICK SAYS

The Minzar is an institution on the Israeli bar scene. Located next to the Ha-Carmel Market inside Nehalat-Binyamin it’s been open 24/7 for over 20 years, respect.

Full of character and full of characters, don’t let the appearance or slightly wilting service put you off, the food here is excellent. The menu changes every day and all the ingredients are bought in fresh from Ha-Carmel Market.

Vibe off a buzzing atmosphere and a wide spectrum of peeps; from kids who just got their ID to 60 year old writers, BarChick sat next to a homeless man who just collected enough money for a pint, what a ledge.

The busiest times are around 8am when all the Tel Aviv party heads gather together for one last drink for the road home, absolute battlers. There’s a good selection of spirits but the house drink, a Czech beer called Kozel comes highly recommended by us.

The toilet stinks but happy hour last 12 hours (from 8am-8pm) so really, it’s up to you to weigh up the perks, we choose booze.
