Over the last five years Tel Aviv has become one of the most gay-friendly cities in the world, flying the flag for the Middle East. Parades, clubs and bars; the camper they are the fuller they are, we’re into it.

Shpagat, the Hebrew word for ‘split’, is one of the coolest bars on the scene. Designed under the influence of Berlin bar Mein Haus Am See, the place looks like an athletics gymnasium complete with a fabulous twist. There’s a huge two-meter high seating area connected to another seating gallery… it’s all very impressive. Whichever team you bat for this is a great place to let loose.

BarChick hit this place on ‘bush night’, pun clearly intended. Big bears, muscles and lots of bushy men with their tops off, we’re still not sure how to tell our parents about it.
