Located in the basement of what used to be the Biltmore Hotel is Vancouver’s music mecca. This is a dive bar with heaps of atmosphere, cheap drinks and an awesome line up. It’s not about the photo booth or the arcade games or the tired red velvet booths, it’s the bang on crowd and good tunes that make the party here.
Full of the cool kids of East Van, pretty much anything goes. Check the calendar for events though whenever you rock up it’s going to be fun. Sundays are Kitty Nights, the most popular burlesque show in the country, produced by New York’s Burgundy Brixx, and designed to blow your mind. Ice Cream Social is also a serious favourite, with everyone dressed up in their retro glad rags dancing to 50s and 60s pop and rock music. Good times guaranteed.
