The Keefer Bar is situated in the heart of the Chinatown district, and though only four years old, it is legendary in the Vancouver bar scene. Step into a world of Chinese apothecary, where the themed interior is dimly lit and decorated with various herbalist jars and medicinal paraphernalia.

The team source ingredients for their Asian influenced cocktails and bar snacks from local Chinese markets. Syrups, tinctures and teas are incorporated into the cocktails, which are created to soothe ailments and balance your mood. The staff are stylishly dressed, super easy-on-the-eye and highly knowledgeable. We drank The Dragon Fly (dragon fruit infused gin, Pearl Sake, ginger syrup and fresh lemon juice, with a dash of magnolia bark tincture to aid digestion). Peckish? The Peking duck sliders helped soak up all those delicious but deadly drinks.

This bar is home to trendy music-loving regulars as well as new-comers with a taste for something different. There are events on every night of the week from live music and DJs, to the sexy burlesque shows held every Thursday. Oh and be sure to brush up on your human anatomy with the light box lit x-rays hanging in the washrooms before you leave!
